Late last night, Rick Ross announced his Maybach Music Group would drop Self Made 3 on August 6. The third MMG
compilation will feature the Maybach bawse along with Wale, Meek Mill, Gunplay, Rockie Fresh and others, and to celebrate the announcement, Ross is unveiling three tracks from the album today (June 3). The first was newcomer Rockie Fresh’s “God is Great,” and up now is “Poor Decisions,” with the all-star lineup of Rozay, Wale and Lupe Fiasco.
While it’s technically a Wale track, with the other two MCs in the feature role, each rapper gets a solid chunk of time on the mic. It’s a surprisingly heartfelt track considering it’s a Maybach Music joint; conversely, it’s exactly the type of street conscious fare you’d expect from a Lupe project. Jake One‘s beat nicely balances the MMG thumps with delicate soul, matching squiggly G-funk and warm piano plinks. Hear it below.
