Southampton held Chelsea to a 1-1 draw at St Mary’s Stadium on Sunday afternoon, as their recent resurgence continued.
Sadio Mane gave the Saints a 17th minute lead with a fine lofted finish, before Eden Hazard equalised on the stroke of half-time.
The Blues then pressed forward in the second half in search of a winner but the home side dug deep to take a creditable point – despite Morgan Schneiderlin’s late sending off – and extended their unbeaten run to three games in the process.
