The nation’s eyes have been on Ferguson, St. Louis in recent weeks since the tragedy surrounding 18-year-old Michael Brown’s death, who succumbed to his wounds after being shot six times by officer Darren Wilson. Brown was unarmed and had his hands up at the time of the shooting.
Compton rapper The Game decides to pay tribute to Michael Brown by recruiting Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, Diddy, Fabolous, Wale, DJ Khaled, Swizz Beatz, Yo Gotti, Curren$y, Problem, King Pharaoh and TGT for this new track called ‘Dont Shoot’. It can be purchased on iTunes and proceeds from the song will be going to the Justice for Mike Brown charity.
Here is what The Game had to say about the record:
“I managed to get everyone on fairly easy, simply because we have hearts. We care & are inclined to take a positive approach to resolving an issue that has existed since the beginning of mankind & that’s RACISM & hatred towards one another as human beings.”
